6 Steps To Avoid "Cakey" Makeup

1. Know Your Skin. By finding out your skin type, this will help in selecting the right foundation. i.e. Oily skin types should use a oil free foundation, so the makeup aren't look "cakey" and the face not look too greasy.

2. Face Primer. If you have oily skin, using a face primer is very important. If the condition of your skin is normal to oily type, then just use a face primer on the T-zone only. Face primary function is to reduce the production of excess oil on the face, and also helps to keep makeup lasting all day long.

3. Let it Settle. Use foundation and concealer 5-15 minutes after using a skin care. Make it a habit to give pause time so that the makeup does not look cluttered, and remain attached.

4. A Little Goes Along The Way. Avoid using too thick foundation and concealer. It's useless to apply 2-3 layers of foundation, because this foundation will not be absorbed in your skin. If you need extra coverage, just use in problematic section only.

5. Finishing. Always use the powder, either loose powder or compact powder. By using the powder can help make a makeup more durable and absorbs excess oil that is on the face later. However, the use of powder preferably contains no foundation, because it will look very thick and "cakey" during the day.

6. Touch Up. We recommend that when you want to touch up your makeup, always used the blotting oil paper or tissue to remove excess oil on the face. Then use the powder again. If the oil on the face not removed beforehand will cause a "cakey" makeup look.
